tour description
From Belgrade international airport to Carpathian mountains slopes it takes only two hours and 120 km of good roads. So, it’d be shame not to use that fact in order to show you one of the most famous and most wanted bike routes in the world. Not necessary to describe what are you going to ride and see, google has enough arguments to convince you how worth riding it is. Few National parks on the way to Sibiu, Transfagarasan and Transalpina of course. On the way back we added a Danube gorgeous canyon just to shock you finally down!

great sightseeings
mecavnik
The place where you can spend few days without being bored for a second.
trebinje town
Old Serbian city in Herzegovina, considered as one of most beautiful. Surrounded by high and rocky mountains which were used as natural fortifications during the history. Mixed European and Otoman architecture and cuisine and all that accessible by exciting and good quality roads.
visegrad
Old bridge on river Drina in the city of Visegrad, Bosnia, 40kms from our base. Built in 1577 still stays one of must see places on Balkans. You can have a time on boat through Drina river canyon, and after that walk through Andric City nearby, or have a lunch break in some national restaurant.

tour itinerary
DAY 01
BELGRADE – BELA CRKVA
320 km
We start from our base not far from airport and after just a half hour of riding we’ll have a stop for a lunch and a friendly chat to get knowing each other better.
Our destination for today is small place near Romanian border called Bela Crkva where we’re going to have a dinner and taste the local vines. This day is short and allows riders to get used to bikes before we hit Romanian mountains.
DAY 02
SEMENIK – TARGU JUI
220 km
Our ride today starts with crossing the state border and entering slightly different scenery and roads. The geography begins to change and we’ll enter National Park Semenik well known for its perfect curvy roads and green forests. Good and intensive ride today, good place to stay planned to be little town Targu Jui. Perfect for rest, collect up impressions, have a beer and sleep.
DAY 03
TRANSFAGARASAN – SIBIU
290 km
After breakfast the adventure continues and after 40 km we hit the famous Transfaragashan road. To say that scenery and roads are perfect is almost to say nothing. We’ll ride on altitudes above 1000 meters, over the mountain tops and through ancient forests. Any time we ride here we have dilemma – shall we continue and keep the pace of exiting riding or stop after every corner to take a picture? However, your Facebook and Instagram will be overheated!
This day is all about riding and enjoying the bikes, no shops, no wasting time. This kind of warm-up day just needs to be ended in the Romania best place, city of Sibiu. Well known for its heritage, architecture and endless number of great restaurants and bars, it deserves a bit more time for hanging around old squares and narrow streets.
DAY 04
TRANSALPINA – KLADOVO
180 km
This day will be one of the best riding days in your life, that’s for sure. After 40 km from Sibiu, another famous road starts its roller coaster – Transalpina. I think if there is riders paradise, this one fits perfectly – breathtaking scenery and perfect road condition. This day is longest as well, and we should consider the fact that we ride mostly above 1200 meters, few times we climb over 2000 meters so the weather can be tricky. But it’s worth it.
Final destination for today is Kladovo on Danube River in Serbia when dinner and rest are waiting.
DAY 05
DJERDAP – GOLUBAC – BEOGRAD
290 km
Yes, yesterday was mind-blowing ride, but it’s still not over. Danube canyon, national park Djerdap and great road. Sure, we never forget good food and coffee breaks.
Belgrade is our final destination for today. Closing dinner will be on the river Danube shore.
